Can’t forget about our home and native land now can we?? This is such a huge country with so much beauty. I can only try to capture some of what I have experienced (in picture form) in these pages.
Taken at from the roof of the Banff Centre, just after sunrise, after a night of hanging, playing and a little drinking with my “colleagues”. Banff, Alberta, 2006
The bird sanctuary at Cape St. Mary’s. Cape. St. Mary’s, Newfoundland, 2006
Sunset through a sea arch. Somewhere on the Viking Trail, Newfoundland, 2007
View from the hilltop. Shadow of a Cloud. King’s Point, Newfoundland, 2007
Taken from the hilltop near the cemetery. The only way into the town of Francois (pronounced “France-way)” on the southern shore of Newfoundland, which is only accessible by boat and has no roads at all. 4hr boat ride to get there. Francois, Newfoundland, 2008
The other view looking down at Francois. That is the whole town and it very unique. There are not many places like this in North America, or the world for that matter. Visit if you can. Francois, Newfoundland, 2008
Little waterfall that runs through the center of town. Francois, Newfoundland, 2008
Sea level in Francois. Fishing stages that are still in use unlike many parts of Newfoundland. Francois, Newfoudland, 2008
How Canadian…Fall leaves. Ottawa, Ontario, 2008
One view of the unique Gors Morne area of Newfoundland which is a UNESCO World Heritgae Site Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, 2010
6 Fort Waldergrave. Friends used to live here and I stayed here from time to time. One of the best houses in St. John's with an awesome view of the Narrows of St. John's harbour and also a rock from the cliff inside the kitchen. It was sold sadly and someone rebuilt the structure into something not quite as magical. St. John's, Newfoundland, 2010
One of the tallest trees on Vancouver Island. This picture does not do justice to the majesty of this being. Several hundred feet tall and a girth unknwon to me. A couple of hundred years old as well. Powerful. Cathedral Grove Park (Vancouver Island), British Columbia, 2010
Lush and alive...the forest at Cathedral Grove Park. Vancouver Island, British Columbia, 2010
